Artist´s Statement
Gina Intveen’s figurative work refers to the mysticism that surrounds certain religious and pagan festivals and rites in Latin America. She is inspired by the culture of the people, by their popular festivals that are dressed in color, fantasy, mysterious characters, and pure expression that make Latin America an interesting landscape of mystery worthy of recreating through a contemporary gaze.
